The end and the beginning

Good bye Middle East, good bye rat race and hello freedom!

Two years ago I traded in my sportcar for a landcruiser, my designer dresses for a safari outfit and my beautiful inner city Melbourne warehouse, for a small cabin on a beach of an Desert Island in the Middle East, in search of adventure.

Two weeks ago I left behind that car, that safari outfit and the small cabin on the Desert Island that had become home to many friends and the love of my life, in search of one thing which I didn't find there while working for a large corporation...freedom.

And now I call a slumpy orange couch in the inner city London apartment that my sister shares with 3 others, home.

Unlike the majority of the population, my assetts and lifestyle would seem to have dropped away over the past few years, however I have gained a wealth of education and knowledge of the world. The many hard questions I had 2 years ago, have been answered and I am at peace with that. It's now time to embark on a huge adventure across Europe, to learn even more.

My first stop after Abu Dhabi was Melbourne, where I spent two fantastic weeks with my family and friends. It was nice to see that not much has changed, although a little unerving to see I had changed a bit.

Then onto Berlin where I stay with Eva and Christoph in Prenzlauerberg and attended a German school. I was truelly happy in the sunny, green streets of Prenzlauerberg and plan to return very soon.

But before I put down some roots, I will see some more of the world and this will involve hopping from farm to farm on my journey.

I am feeling a bit apprehensive about all this change, but know it's going to be a great adventure :)
